On the love theme of Bai Juyi's A Song of Everlasting Regret

There are many themes in Bai Juyi's A Song of Everlasting Regret,such as the theme of love,the theme of secret,the theme of allergy,the theme of euphemistic irony,the theme of sadness,double or multiple themes,no themes and extensive themes.Based on an academic retrospect,the article explores the reasons of these themes.It also gives a further reading and textual research of A Song of Everlasting Regret according to the self-statement and the writing process by Bai Juyi and the public ideas towards his writing of the time.The aim is to testify that the theme of A Song of Everlasting Regret is to express the sincere love between Emperor Tang Xuanzong and his concubine Yang Guifei and to focus on the discussion of the theme of euphemistic irony in the work.
