Abstract

With regard to the theme of Bai Juyi′s Song of Eternal Sorrow,there were several points of view including parable,romantic love,and dual themes.The author believes that,the themes of Song of Eternal Sorrow were changed with the change of Bai Juyi′s psychology during his creation.The sequence of ideas for the change of themes involved satire,sympathy,grief,and extol ideal romantic love.The cause of this change was Bai Juyi′s complicated feelings evolving in the course of his creation.
