The Same Destiny with Different Senses of Tragedy——A Literary Criticism on Everlasting Regret by Wang Anyi

Everlasting Regret by Wang Anyi and one by Bai Juyi have been a hot issue for research.This paper compares the two versions in terms of textual feature,theme and author's views on history and verifies the fact that the borrowing by Wang Anyi from the classical texts is in no way the simple imitation,instead,she deconstructs the classical texts with the views on history based on the daily life,thus beautifying the tragedy of the civilian people and revealing her elaborate conception of the theme that women would regret forever in the man-dominated world by means of borrowing from classical texts.
