Efficacy of compound xuanju capsule combined with tamsulosin in the treatment of chronic prostatitis complicated with premature ejaculation

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of compound xuanju capsule combined with tamsulosin in the treatment of chronic prostatitis complicated with premature ejaculation(PE).Methods:A total of 96 cases of chronic prostatitis complicated with PE were randomly divided into control group(n=46)and treatment group(n=50).Patients in control group received tamsulosin(0.2 mg qd)orally for8 weeks.Based on the treatment of control group,patients in treatment group additionally received compound xuanju capsule(2capsules tid)orally for 8 weeks.After the treatment,the results were analyzed according to NIH-CPSI and CIPE-5scores.Results:The treatments were completed in all petients without any serious medication-related adverse reactions.To some extent,symptoms of all the patients were improved.Total effective rate was higher in treatment group than that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Compound xuanju capsule combined with tamsulosin is effective and safe in the treatment of chronic prostatitis complicated with premature ejaculation.
