Abstract
By analyzing the changes of soil physical behaviors on the Loess Plateau after implement of the World Banks loan on soil and water conservation, the effect of soil and water conservation measures on its was understood. The results showed that the physical clay of sandy loam soil increased, the physical sand decreased, soil unit weight reduced, soil porosity raised, soil structure was reormed. Using the grass land in Yanhe project area as example in the meantime, the effect amount of soil and water conservation on soil water content was calculated and 2.35% after deducting the rainfall effect.
