Grammatical Study on Wenshan Dialect Word "La"

Abstract

Wenshan dialect word La in the real speech activities can be a separate sentence and can al-so constitute overlapping type.It can be followed by the word MA indicating tone.It often appears in the Q A sentence,with two common formats: 1) Shi +La;2) Ge Shi+ La.From the perspective of pragmatics,this paper attempts to analyze the grammatical meaning and descriptive function of La in these two types of formats.
