Abstract
The grammatical function of the Chinese character儿used as suffix in Zhuozhou dialect is analyzed in two aspects. It can be added to morphemes to form news words or four-word idioms. It can also be added to words of different part of speeches or idioms to achieve different stylistic and affective meaning.
