Abstract
Objective To explore the biological contribution of IL-32 in the formative course of hypertrophic scar and keloid. Methods From October 2009 to June 2011,12 cases of keloid tissue;12 cases of hypertrophic scar tissue;24 cases of normal skin were collected at Guangdong Medical College Hospital plastic surgical.Take normal skin as control group, the IL-32 mRNA of tissue are investigated in the specimens from normal skin, hypertrophic scar and keloid tissues using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Further immunohistochemical technique and western blot are performed to detect the expression and distribution of IL-32 protein in the paraffin embedded tissues samples of normal skin, hypertrophic scar and keloid. Results The expression of IL-32 mRNA was obviously lower in hypertrophic scar and keloid tissues compared with those of normal skin respectively. The result of immunohistochemical technique and Western Blot: the expression of IL-32 protein were both lower in hypertrophic scar and keloid tissues compared with those of normal skin respectively(P0.05).Conclusion The results indicated that IL-32 played an important role in the proliferation of fibroblasts and in the development of pathological scar, the value of further research.
