Abstract
Objective To study the expression of TGF-β1 and to explore its effect in normal skin and the pathological scars.Method Immunohistochemiscal techuique was performered to detect the expression and distribution of TGF-a1 in 19 cases of keloid,32 cases of hypertrophic scar and 15 cases of normal skin, statistics was used to analyze the data.Result The expression of TGF-a1 and was stronger in pathological scars than in normal skin, and there was sighificant difference between them (P0.01). But its expression was not statistically different between the keloid and hypertrophic scar (P0.05).Conclusion TGF-a1 might play an important role in the pathogenesis of keloid and hypertrophic scar tissue.
