Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of dexmedetomidine using for general anesthesia. Methods Selected 88 patients who need to implement general anesthesia in our hospital from May 2011 to May 2013, They were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, each group had 44 cases, the study group were given dexmedetomidine for assisted general anesthesia; the control group were given saline assisted anesthesia, then compared the two groups of patients in the process of Ramsay sedation score, heart rate, blood pressure, the dosage of propofol, fentanyl and the adverse reaction rate during general anesthesia. Results In 5 minutes after administration, the Ramsay sedation score of the research group was slightly higher than that of the control group; in 10 minutes after administration, the Ramsay sedation score of the research group was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(x2=6.13, P=0.002).The dosage of the fentanyl, propofol of the study group during the general anesthesia was significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(t=5.54,P=0.02); and the difference of the two group in heart rate and blood pressure were statistical significance(t=4.97, P=0.03). But there is no significant difference in tracheal intubation time, the time spent before and after extubation, operation time and postoperative recovery time(P 0.05). The two groups were not have muscle tremors, restless and other related adverse reactions. Conclusion Dexmedetomidine used in general anesthesia, has good effect, high safety coefficient, and has obvious sedative effect so it is worthy of clinical application.
