Abstract
Fourteen healthy Kunming mice weighing 20 g were selected and randomly divided into two groups on average and treated with physiological saline and 0.01 mg/mL dexamethasone diluted solution of 0.2 mL/t·d by tail vein injection for 21days.At 22th day,the blood of all the mice was collected to analyze the density of blood cell. The livers and kidneys of rapidly killed mice were taken out and fixed in 10% formalin for paraffin sections and observation under microscope after stained by hematoxylin eosin. The results showed that compared with the control group, the density of white blood cell and lymphocyte in treated mice was decreased obviously.Inflammatory infiltration was observed frequently in hepatic lobules and portal area. The boundary of hepatocytes became indefinite.Hepatic cords were arranged loosely.Hepatic sinusoid was enlarged while the tissue structure of kidney showed no significant difference. It is indicated that Dexamethasone could downregulate the peripheral blood immunity and had certain side effects on the mice liver.
