Abstract

Objective: to explore the functional mechanism of Sanshen Fang in treating chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods: The rats were randomly divided into control group, model group,Weimeisu group,Sanjiu Weitai group,high-dose of Sanshen Fang group and low-dose group, models made by composite factors. The experiment lasting for 8 weeks was to detect the changes of serum SOD activity and MDA content, and to observe the gastric mucous membrane tissue change. Results: Compared with control group,MDA content of model group increased significantly,SOD activity decreased significantly(P0.01);Epithelial cells of gastric mucous membrane had degeneration, necrosis and abscission, glands saw atrophy to different degrees, and there were a great deal of inflammatory cell infiltration.Compared with model group,MDA of treatment groups decreased and SOD increased(P0.01 or P0.05);Morphology indicated that gastric mucous membrane tissues were improved greatly. Conclusion: Sanshen Fang can reinforce SOD activity, decrease MDA content, clear oxygen radicals, has the action of antioxidation, and can improve gastric mucous membrane pathological appearance.
