Abstract

Objective To compare the purification effects of different purification techniques of total flavones from Mulberry leaf.In order to find a purification technology which is cheap, simple, feasible and suitable for the production of total flavones whose purity is more than 15%.Methods Six purifying methods, including adsorption with macroreticular adsorption resin D101,AB-8,JD-1,extraction with ethylacetate, alcohol sedimentation method, alcohol sedimentation and alcohol precipitation method, were adopted, and the amound and purity of total flavones collected were compared. Results By using the above-mentioned six methods, the percentages of the contents of total flavones was 50.3%,48.5%,55.7%,82.1%, 10.8% and 18.5% respectively, the recoveries of products was 2.37%,2.42%,2.28%,0.45%,18.21% and 15.93% respectively. Conclusion Using the alcohol sedimentation and alcohol precipitation method can get total flavones up to requirement.
