Abstract
The flower of pomegranate cultivar Taishanhong was used as experimental materials.Total RNA was extracted and reversely transcribed into cDNA.Degenerate primers were designed according to conserved sequences of flavonoid 3′-hydroxylase(F3′H) gene of some related species in GenBank database.PCR amplication was conducted and then the PCR product was sequenced. The result showed that a F3′H cDNA fragment was cloned from pomegranate flower with the sequence length of 996 bp,coding 331 amino acids. The F3′H in pomegranate contained cytochrome P450 conserved domains, belonging to CYP75B subfamily. The accession number for the gene in GenBank was KC430328.
