Abstract
Analysis on chemical components of the upper leaves of 4 flue-cured tobacco cultivars from 12 cities or states of Yunnan province showed that the average content of total nitrogen was appropriate, the average content of chlorine and potassium were lower, while the average content of total sugar was higher. The chemical components of the upper leaves existed significant difference among different tobacco areas and different varieties, respectively. The 12 cities or states of Yunnan province could be roughly divided into 4 types of tobacco regions by cluster analysis.
