Abstract
Objective To investigate the distribution of HPV genotypes in paraffin-embedded tissues of cervical cancer in Foshan region. Methods 61 cervical cancer tissues were analyzed by genechip technique with 23 HPV genotypes. Results The total positive rate of HPV was 67%(41/61) in 61 cervical cancer tissues diagnosed by histopathology.Among 41 positive cases,HPV16 was 63.4%(26/41),with 29.2%(12/41) of HPV18,2.4%(1/41) of HPV33;4.8%(2/41) of mixed genatypes in which 1 case was HPV16/18 and the other was HPV16/59 respetively. Conclusions HPV16 and HPV18,with 95.3% of HPV positive genotypes in the cervical cancer tissues, are most prevalent in Foshan region. The results suggest that cervical cancer exist concentrated HPV genotynes.
