Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the anti-aging effects of KOTAIS on model mice.METHODS Random groups were prepared by weight for 5 groups and were given normal saline,D-galactose,and the low, middle and high dose of KOTAIS.Interrelated senile indexes, including superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, catalase activities and malondialdehyde levels in blood and liver were measured after successively giving medicine for 60 days.RESULTS KOTAIS could improve the activities of SOD,GSH-Px and CAT,alse decreased the level of MDA in blood and liver of all mice. The effect of anti-aging was very obvious for middle dose group.CONCLUSION KOTAIS has anti-aging effects by eliminating free radicals.
