The Influence of IL-1ra on Adjuvant Arthritis in Rats

Abstract

To observe the therapeutic effect of IL-1ra on adjuvant arthritis(AA) in rats.AA rats induced by Freund's complete adjuvant were treated with Kineret~(TM).The effects of IL-1ra on adjuvant arthritis in rats were observed.IL-1ra could not only reduce the degree of swelling in paws of rats and the arthritis index significantly,but also decrease the proliferation of Bcell and the production of IL-1.Moreover it could increase the proliferation of T-cell.IL-1ra has significant therapeutic effect on AA in rats.
