Abstract
Objective To observe the change of C-reactive protein (CRP) content in plasma of patients with cerebral infarction (CI),and to evaluate the therapeutic effect of simvastatin on its change. Methods 110 cases of CI were randomly divided into simvastatin group (simvastatin is used with general therapy) and general group.CRP content in plasma were observed by immune turbidity method at different time, while 30 healthy persons were observed as control group. Results CRP content in plasma increased significantly with CI.After treatment,CRP was significantly decreased in simvastatin group (P0.01) and was not significantly changed in general group, while CRP had significant difference between simvastatin group and general group (P0.01). Conclusion CRP interfere with the complex process of pathologic after CI.Simvastatin has therapeutic action on CI partly by depending on affecting content of CRP in plasma.
