A Comparison of General Education Curriculum and Cultural Quality Education Curriculum

Some accomplishments have been obtained since cultural quality education curriculum was implemented in our country,but with the practice of general education curriculum in some colleges and universities,the relationship between cultural quality education curriculum and general education curriculum is concerned increasingly.Through the comparison of the general education curriculum of American colleges and universities with the cultural quality education curriculum of China's colleges and universities from the aspects of connotation,generation and development,and the method of practice,etc.We can find that there are some problems of the cultural quality education curriculum in some aspects of developing concept and process of curriculum,the mode of major and compulsory courses,the choice of curriculum content,and the burden of curriculum given to students,etc.This article proposes some suggestions by learning American successful experience.
