Diagnostic Value of Serum Triglyceride/High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio in Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract

Objective To study the value of serum triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(TG/HDL-C) ratio in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease(CHD).Method Blood lipoprotein level in 453 patients with CHD and 98 cases of normal control were analysed.TG/HDL-C ratio was calculated.Results TG/HDL-C ratio in CHD group(1.78±1.76) was obviously higher than that in control group(0.90±0.49),and the difference between two groups was significant(t=4.930,P0.001).TG/HDL-C ratio of was abnormal in 210 cases of 453 patients with CHD.The abnormal rate(46.3%) was obviously higher than that in normal group(17.3%),and the difference between them was significant(χ~2=27.99,P0.01).The abnormal rate was obviously higher than that of monomial serum lipids.Conclusions TG/HDL-C ratio was valuable for the diagnosis of CHD,and was better than monomial blood lipoprotein indexes.
