Zhang Xue-cheng deviated immensely from the Qian-Jia School dominating the academic circle of his times and showed inclination to Song-Ming Rationalism opposed by the Qian-Jia School.In terms of his academic views,theories and practice,his academic theory was built on a series of philosophical principles.He expressed his academic ideal through criticizing the scholars and the studying style in his era.His work pioneered in the new domain of academic study.
