Abstract
Objective To approach the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor-C(VEGF-C),EphA2,the relationship between lymphatic metastasis and the expression in colorectal carcinoma. Method The expression of VEGF-C and EphA2 in cases of colorectal carcinoma, cases of latero-carcinoma and cases of control group were determined by immunohistochemie(SP method),combined with the lymphatic metastasis of colorectal carcinoma. The experimental data were analyzed by SPSS13.0. Results The positive expression of VEGF-C protein was found 100% in cases of colorectal carcinoma,75.95% in cases of latero-carcinoma and 63.29% in cases of control group. There was significant correlation between the cases of colorectal carcinoma and the cases of latero-carcinoma,between the cases of colorectal carcinoma and the cases of control group(both P0.01).There was significant correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and the staging of Dukes, histological grade(both P0.01).There was no significant correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and age,the shape of carcinoma(P0.05).The positive expression of EphA2 protein was found 98.7% in cases of colorectal carcinoma,25.3% in cases of latero-carcinoma and 18.99% in cases of control group. There was significant correlation between the cases of colorectal carcinoma and the cases of latero-carcinoma,between the cases of colorectal carcinoma and the cases of control group(both P0.01).There was no significant correlation between the expression of EphA2 and age(P0.05).There was positive correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and EphA2 in the cases of colorectal carcinoma(r=0.565,P=0.000).Conclusion There was significant correlation between the high expression of VEGF-C,EphA2 and lymphatic metastasis in tissue of colorectal carcinoma.VEGF-C and EphA2 may be a new target site in the treatment of colorectal carcinoma.
