Abstract

OBJECTIVE To complete pathogen detection of HFMD cases samples in Lianyungang in 2010,understand the HFMD infection and to analyze test results for the hand, foot and mouth disease prevention, and provide a scientific basis for clinical diagnosis.METHODS Enterovirus(EV),Enterovirus 71(EV71)and Coxsackie virus 16(CoxA16)-specific nucleic acid in patients were collected by the Real Time RT-PCR methods and hand, foot and mouth as well as rectal swab specimens.RESULTS Among 475 cases, the positive rate of EV71 specimens was 27.8%(132 cases),the positive rate of CoxA16 was 20.0%(95 cases),and positive rate of other Enterovirus was 7.8%(37 cases); The peak month of infection was at the range of April to June months, which accountd for 39.58%;The dominated age was the low age group, and the infection rate of 0 to 3 years was 77.68%.CONCLUSION Hand, foot and mouth disease has obvious time and age difference. The main pathogenic bacteria were EV71 HFMD and CoxA16.The severe case was EV71.Quantitative RT-PCR could rapid diagnose the pathogenic bacteria of foot and mouth disease.
