Abstract

Objective: To explore the characteristics and the relations existing between the college students' self consistency and congruence and their time management disposition. Methods: 334 college students participated in our inquiry with the Self Consistency and Congruence Scale and the Time Management Disposition Scale. Results: Firstly, there was evident difference in singleton(P0.001);there was no significant difference between subjects and gender;secondly, there was no significant difference among subjects, gender and singleton(except for self-flexibility,P0.05) on the level of the college students' self-consistency and congruence; Finally, time management disposition was negativety correlated to disharmony of self and experience(r=-0.312~-0.390,P0.01;except the perceived time values) and self-stiffness(r=-0.111~-0.259,P0.05),but positively correlated to self-flexibility(r=0.278~0.406,P0.01).The perceived time efficacy(β=-0.39~0.288,P0.001) was a good predictor of the dimensionalities of self consistency and congruence. Conclusion: There is a close relation between the college students' self consistency and congruence and their time management disposition.
