The Influence of Different Pretreatment Solutions on the Vase Life of Cut Carnation Flower

Abstract

This different combination of sucrose+AgNO3+CaCl2+SA on the effects of different pretreatment solutions on the vase life of cut carnation was studied.The results showed that the treatment IV,50 g/L sucrose+10 g/L calcium chloride+20 mg/L SA was the best.This pretreatment could effectively improve the water absorbing capacity of carnation cut flowers,and raise the activity of SOD,and decrease the contents of MDA,and prolong the vase-life of cut carnation.
