Effects of different nano-silver treatments on vase life of 3 varieties of cut carnation flowers

Abstract
The effects of pretreatment,vase treatment and pretreatment plus vase treatment with different concentrations of nano-silver(NS) on vase life of 3 cut carnation varieties(‘Quiet’,‘Master’ and ‘Pacific’) were investigated.The results showed that NS pretreatment plus NS vase treatment was the most efficient way to prolong the vase life of all 3 cut carnation varieties,and that the best choice was 50～70 mg/L NS pretreatment for 24 h plus 5～10 mg/L NS vase treatment.
