Discussion on Land Desertification and Causes in Lower Reaches of Tarim River

As one of the extremely important environmental and social problems the land desertification is disturbing the nowaday world,by which the human survival and development is threatened.The lower reaches area of the Tarim River belongs to one of the severely desertification threatened areas in China,and as the typical desertification area in inland river basins this area has been taking as the research region by many scholars to study its desertification formation and causes.This article carries on further discussion on land desertification,causes and the effect on the sustainable development of the downriver regions,based on the on-the-spot investigation and the document reference.
