Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between serum inflammatory factors and acute coronary syndrome(ACS) in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods Immune nephelometry and ELISA assay were used to measure serum levels of high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-9,TIMP-1 in 20 ACS patients(group ACS),20 patients with stable angina pectoris(group SAP) and 20 persons without CHD(group C).Results The serum hs-CRP,MMP-9 and MMP inhibitor-1(TIMP-1) in group ACS were significantly higher than those in groups of SAP and C(P0.05).The serum level of MMP-9 was positively correlated with TIMP-1 and hs-CRP(P0.05).Conclusion Combined detection of serum level of hs-CRP with TIMP-1 and MMP-9 is helpful in predicting and diagnosing ACS in patients with CHD.
