CONSTRUCTION OF CULTURAL IMAGE OF TOURIST TOWNS BASED ON URBAN DESIGN:A CASE STUDY OF WATERFRONT URBAN DESIGN AT FOZILING TOWN IN ANHUI PROVINCE

Based on the correlation of cultural image of tourist towns and urban design,this paper taking the waterfront urban design at Foziling town as an example examines the positioning and construction of tourist and cultural image of towns from the perspective of urban design.It argues that the targets of the construction of townscape and cultural image and the urban design are to develop the urban image with cultural inheritance.The construction of tourist and cultural image of towns is the basic issue of urban design which should be examined from urban design strategy and comprehensive spatial design.
