Abstract
[Objective] To understand the knowledge, attitude and behavior about AIDS,and HIV infection status among migrant workers in Liaocheng City, provide the basis for developing the AIDS control strategies and evaluating the intervention effect.[Methods]By using random sampling,406 migrant workers were collected from some large enterprises in Liaocheng City. The knowledge, attitude and behavior about AIDS of migrant workers were investigated with self-designed questionnaire, and related serological indexes were detected.[Results]The education level of migrant workers was low(79.06% had education background of junior middle school). They did not know a lot about AIDS,and only 51.06% knew AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease. The awareness rates of three transmission routes were over 70%,and the awareness rate of non-transmission routes was low, which the rate of correctly answer to the question whether HIV can spread through shaking hands and hugging was only 13.55%.The awareness rate of knowledge about AIDS prevention was high.87.78% of interviewees thought that unique sex partner can reduce AIDS spread.Only 16.41% used condom persistently in premarital sexual behavior.A few migrant workers had AIDS discrimination and prejudice, and only 2.31% thought that AIDS/HIV infection should not receive any help and support. There was no positive HIV and syphilis case.[Conclusion]The awareness rate of knowledge about AIDS prevention among migrant workers should be further improved, and there are more misunderstandings of the non-transmission routes. In the future,it is necessary to strengthen the health education about AIDS prevention and control, enhance the awareness rate of knowledge about AIDS among migrant workers, and provide related services and behavior intervention.
