Abstract
[Objective]To investigate AIDS related knowledge, attitude and behavior in migrant workers and provide theoretical foundation for health education on AIDS prevention among migrant workers.[Methods]Face-to-face questionnaire was conducted for migrant workers selected with cluster sampling method. All data were analyzed by software SPSS10.0.[Results]The awareness rate of AIDS control and prevention in migrant workers was low(53.66%).Their attitude towards AIDS was relatively negative. The knowledge about AIDS was acquired through broadcast TV,counseling from doctors, peer education, newspaper and magazine, accounting for 68.15%,43.25%,41.15%,33.12%,respectively.Only 16.54% of those migrant workers used condom and 4.5% of them ever had commercial sexual intercourse.Age,income, marital status, education level were the factors that affected migrant workers knowledge of AIDS.[Conclusion]There is poor knowledge toward AIDS in migrant workers.Risk behaviors of migrant workers have already become potential threat of AIDS.
