Abstract

The supercritical CO2 extraction-process of ferulic acid from Angelica were optimized in this study, and the components of extracts were analyzed by Gas Chromatography mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The yield of volatile oil and ferulic acid was regarded as the markers and the content of ferulic acid was determined by HPLC.The extraction processing conditions were optimized by orthogonal test. The extraction effects were compared by GC-MS analysis on co-solvent were employed or not.The optimized extraction technique was: the particle size was between 0.30~0.85 mm,the extraction pressure was 35 Mpa,and the program of extraction temperature was 60℃-50℃-45℃,80% C2H5OH as entrainer.Sixty-two components were identified in the pure CO2 extracts, eithty three components in SFE-CO2 extracts, and fifty-four components in both of them. The optimal process feasible with the advantages of high production of volatile oil and ferulic acid. The employ of co-solvent can increase the content of ferulic acid in the extracts.
