Discussion on the Methods Analyzing Urban Earthquake Vulnerability

Abstract

The methods for analyzing urban earthquake vulnerability are reviewed and discussed in such aspects as construction structure, lifeline system, economy system and residents. A reasonable composite method based on Urban Local Earthquake Disaster Risk Index is proposed and applied to the evaluation of the relative earthquake vulnerability in the central areas of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang.
