Abstract
In this paper,the author deals with the main Theme - Rheme - Patterns from the viewpoint of communication and context, and argues that in English - Chinese translationing, the inter - language communication, the translator should observe the Theme - Rheme - patterns in the source language , so as to communicate the information in the source language to the maximum.
