Abstract
The genetic polymorphism was analyzed by RAPD in 8 small lotus cultivars.Four random primers S87,S110,S130 and S473 were screened from 70 random primers to detect the materials used and 14 polymorphic bands were scored, and the average of polymorphism was 70%.Six clear polymorphic bands were selected for the construction of DNA fingerprint,in which each lotus had its unique fingerprint pattern.DNA fingerprint would provide effective tool for the identification and protection of the cultivars.
