Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of percutaneous nephrolithotripsy with holmium laser in the treatment of complex renal calculi. Methods Ninety-six patients with complex renal calculi in our hospital from January 2012 to June 2013 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 48 cases in each group. Patient in the observation group received percutaneous nephrolithotripsy with holmium laser, while patients in the control group received extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) + percutaneous nephrolithotomy renal lithotomy. The intraoperative and postoperative situation were observed and analyzed. Results The stone crushing rate was 100.0% of observation group, significantly higher than 72.91% of control group(P 0.05). The stone free rate was 89.58% of observation group, significantly higher than 47.91% of control group(P 0.05). Conclusions Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy with holmium laser in the treatment of complex renal calculi has the advantages of less intraoperative blood loss, higher efficiency of removing stones, fewer postoperative adverse reactions, shorter operative time and shorter therapy time, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
