Clinical study of Bushen Daozhuo Granule in treating 65 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia patients

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of Bushen Daozhuo Granule in treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods:One hundred and twenty cases of clinically diagnosed BPH patients were randomly assigned two groups.The control group received doxazosin(Cardura) 4mg,every night and the treatment group was given Bushen Daozhuo Granule(200mL each time,2 times every day),both for 4 weeks.Before and after the treatment,the international prostate symptoms score(IPSS),quality of life(QOL),Qmax,bladder residual urine volume(RU) and TCM syndrome score were obtained,and the total curative effect and the total effective rate of diseases and syndromes were calculated.Results:Compared with the control group,the detection index of IPSS,QOL,Qmax,RU were significantly improved in treatment group(P0.05).The total curative effect of TCM syndrome of the disease,and the total effective rate were improved in the treatment group,compared with the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:The Bushen Daozhuo Granule plays an important role in improving lower urinary tract symptoms and systemic symptoms of BPH.This provides a set of practical and effective treatment for clinical treatment of BPH.
