Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical therapeutic effect of Modified Erchen Decoction in the treatment of cough variant asthma. Methods 120 patients with cough variant asthma were randomized into two groups. The treatment group(68 cases) was given modified Erchen Decoction one dose a day;while the control group(52 cases) was given Loratadine per os one time a day, with each time 10 mg.The control group was also given Compound Liquorice Tablets per os three times a day, with each time three tablets. The course of treatment was 7 days for each group. The therapeutic effect was then compared between the two groups. Results The therapeutic effect between the two groups was significantly different(P0.01).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of Modified Erchen Decoction is significantly better than western medicine Loratadine in the treatment of variant asthma.
