Clinical observation of varied Zhisuo decoction combined western medicine on 60 patients with cough variant asthma

Objective To observe the clinical effect of varied Zhisuo decoction combined western medicine on patients with cough variant asthma.Methods 100 patients with cough variant asthma were randomly divided into two groups.40 patients in the control group were given Aminophylline Tablet 0.1 gram and Ambroxo Hydrochloride capsule 30 milligram each time, three times a day and inhaled Budesonide gas apray 50 μg every night before go to bed.60 patients in the treatment group were administrated varied Zhisuo decoction in addition to the routine treatment used in the control group.Seven days was a therapeutic course in both group.The cure rate and pulmonary function improvement were observed in both groups.Results The symptoms in both group were improved.There was no significant difference of the total effectiveness rate between the two groups(P0.05) but there was a significant difference of the cure rate between the two group(P0.05).The pulmonary function significantly improved after treatment in both group(P0.05).There was a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Varied Zhisuo decoction has a definite effect on cough and the therapy of TCM combined western medicine has advantage over pure western therapy.
