Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of Glut-1 and PCNA in endometrial adenocarcinoma and precancerous lesion. Methods Immunohistochemical staining SP method was used to detect the expression of Glut-1 and PCNA in 20 cases of normal proliferative endometrium,25 cases of endometrial hyperplasia,25 cases of atypical endometrial hyperplasia, and 40 cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma. Results The expressions of Glut-1 and PCNA in endometrial adenocarcinoma and atypical endometrial hyperplasia were significantly higher than normal proliferative endometrium(P0.05).Further study showed that there are relationships between their expressions and cell differentiation in endometrial adenocarcinoma(P0.05),but no relation with the surgical pathological classification(P0.05).Positive correlation was also found between Glut-1 and PCNA expression(r=0.544,P0.05).There are significant differences between the expression of Glut-1 in endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial atypical hyperplasia (P0.05),also in well differentiated and low differentiated endometrial adenocarcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion Abnormal expression of Glut-1 and PCNA may contribute to the pathogenesis and development of the endometrial adenocarcinoma.Glut-1 may be helpful for differentiating endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial atypical hyperplasia, and well differentiated and low differentiated endometrial adenocarcinoma.
