Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of edaravone in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 100 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into observation group(n=50) and control group(n=50).Both groups received conventional treatment. But the observation group received additional edaravone. Results After treatment,NIHSS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group and the ADL score significantly higher. Therefore, there were significant differences(P0.01).The clinical efficacy of the observation group was much better than the control group(P0.05).Both groups had no serious adverse events. Conclusion To the patients with acute cerebral infarction, edaravone can effectively improve their neurologic impairment, restore the ability of their daily life, prevent their brain edema, and enhance the curative effect.
