Abstract

Cotton fabric was modified respectively by self-made cationic agent WLS and cationic chicken feather keratin agent WLS-20.Then the dyeing properties of the cotton fabric dyed with reactive dyes were estimated.The dyeing properties of modified fabric without electrolyte and unmodified fabric with high salt and alkaline were compared.The result indicated that the salt-free and low alkaline process dyeing modified cotton fabric exhibited higher K/S value and fixed efficiency than traditional dyeing process.They can realize the salt-free and low alkaline dyeing process.At the same time,WLS-20 modified cotton fabric exhibited better dyeing properties than WLS modified cotton fabric.WLS-20 was a better salt-free and low alkaline agent.
