Abstract
Objective To study the protection effect of milkvetch root active component astragaloside for rat lung ischemia-reperfusion injury(I/R).Methods Rat lung ischemia-reperfusion model was established,30 SD rats and rats were randomly divided into sham operation group(group A),ischemia-reperfusion group(I/R group) and astragaloside group(group B).Rats were killed after 45min ischemia and 2h reperfusion, the left lung, was removed and the wet and dry weight of each lung tissue(W/D),the content of myeloperoxidase(MPO) activity and malondialdehyde(MDA) were measuned,Histology of the lung was also examined. Results The change of W/D,MDA concentration and MPO activity in lung tissue were significantly higher in the I/R group than those in group A,with significant(P0.01) differences; They were higher in group B than those of A(P0.05),but were lower than those of I/R group, with significant differences(P0.05);HE staining showed that lung congestion, lung focal bleeding, changes in alveolar septum were milder in Group B than those in I/R group. Conclusion Astragaloside has a protective effect for the experimental rat lung ischemia-reperfusion injury
