Abstract

Objective To evaluate the application of the fetal heart rate monitoring in labor and its value. Methods 813 cases of puerpera were selected and divided into normal fetal heart rate monitoring group and abnormal fetal heart rate monitoring group to observe the general condition and to compare the maternal amniotic fluid,the mode of delivery and the incidence of neonatal asphyxia.Results In all 813 cases of puerpera,728 cases fetal heart rate monitoring were normal and the others were abnormal.There were 9.3% of meconium-stained amniotic fluid in normal group,in which 63 cases(8.65%)were contaminated Ⅰ° and Ⅱ°,Ⅲ° pollution accounted for 0.68%.The main pollution of abnormal group were Ⅱ°and Ⅲ°,accounting for 36.47%.There were significant difference(P0.01)in the rate of meconium-stained amniotic fluid between two groups.Rate of eutocia and forceps delivery in abnormal group was significantly lower than the normal group(P0.01),However,cesarean section rate was significantly higher than the normal group(P0.01).According to Apgar score,there was no severe asphyxia but five cases of mild asphyxia(incidence 0.69%) in the normal group.4 cases were severe asphyxia(4.70%)and 8 cases(9.41%) were mild asphyxia in abnormal group.However,there was significant difference in the mild asphyxia rate between two groups(P0.01).Conclusions The fetal heart rate monitoring can effectively reduce the incidence of neonatal asphyxia.
