Abstract
Objective:To study the value of fetal heart rate monitoring during the labor course.Methods:300 hospitalized puerperas in our hospital from January to October in 2010 were as the observation group and monitored fetal heart rate during the whole labor process.Other 300 puerperas as the control group were monitored the fetal heart rate by the traditional auscultation. Results:The detection rate of fetal distress in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P0.01).The incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P0.01).The cesarean section rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Routine fetal heart rate monitoring during the whole labor course can effectively guide the labor processing, decide the delivery mode, reduce the asphyxia rate of neonates, especially the occurrence of severe asphyxia, and increase the obstetric quality.
