Abstract
Objective To investigate the applied significance of central fetal monitoring during labor. Methods In our hospital from November 2009 to May 2010,1 200 cases of pregnant women(study group) were monitored with the central fetal monitoring system for the whole production process, and from January 2006 to June 2006,1 456 cases of pregnant women(control group) were uesd with conventional Doppler to listen to fetal heart rate,to compare the detection rate of fetal asphyxia, the incidence of neonatal asphyxia and cesarean section rate between the two groups. Results The fetal distress detection rates in study group and control group were 10.5%,5.2% respectively;neonatal asphyxia were 6%,10.37% respectively;newborns with severe asphyxia were 0%,0.92% respectively;cesarean section rate in the study group was relatively higher at 8.5%,and cesarean rate in the control group was 6.7%.Conclusion Application of central fetal monitoring network system for the whole production process can improve the detection rate of fetal distress, reduce the perinatal mortality and fetal asphyxia, which relatively increases the cesarean section rate.
