Abstract
An HPLC method was developed for the determination of oxytetracycline(OTC) in pig plasma, and the pharmacokinetics of long-action oxytetracycline for Injection at a dose of OTC 25 mg/mL b.w. to swine was studied. The standard curves of OTC were all linear in the range of 0.25~32.00 μg/mL (r=0.999 7, n=8).The quantitative limit of detection was 0.25 μg/mL. The plasma drug concentrations were calculated by software DAS2.0. Results suggested that the kinetics of the injection had been fit to tow compartment model with first order absorption. The main parameters were as follows: T_ max =2 h, C_ max =7.62 μg/mL, t_ 1/2β =69.315 h, V1/F= 4.648 L/kg.
