Abstract

Objective: To explore the efficacy of MEBO in treating mixed hemorrhoid. Method: 96 patients had mixed hemorrhoid. After operation, 50 cases were treated with MEBO and 46 cases treated with vaseline gauze. Result: Wounds treated with MEBO healed in 16.1 ± 1.4 days and wounds treated with vaseline gauze healed in 19.3 ± 2.6 days. The difference was very significant (t = 7.590, P 0.01). 5 patients treated with MEBO needed to take analgesic drug and 37 patients treated with vaseline gauze needed analgesic drug. The difference was also very significant (X =48.298, P0.01). Conclusion: For treating wounds after mixed hemorrhoid excision, MEBO can promote wound regeneration and repair. Wound healing time is shortened. MEBO has analgesic effect. It is safe and its efficacy is reliable.
