Abstract

Objective: To compare the efficacy of MEBO and Vaseline gauze in treating wounds post ligation of hemorrhoid. Method:94 Patients subjected to ligation of hemorrhoid were divided into 2 groups. 47 patients were treated with MEBO and the other 47 patients treated with Vaseline gauze. Result: In MEBO treatment group, the wound healing time was shorter and the curative rate was higher than that of the Vaseline treatment group. Conclusion:MEBO is superior to Vaseline in the treatment of wounds post liagtion of hemorrhoid.
